Bookmarks to Publishing #1: Developing a Professional Perspective with Mur Lafferty

Author: timothyc  //  Category: Podcast

Mur Lafferty graces us with her expertise for the first interview in my new series, Bookmarks to Publishing. I’ve started a blog for this series (HERE) and will post the interviews on my AudioTim podcast feed. Today, we discuss the first bookmark “A Professional Perspective,” with a very helpful conversation with Mur Lafferty. Mur is the host of the podcasts such as, I Should Be Writing and Angry Robots Podcast, as well as an author of books such as, Playing for Keeps, The Afterlife Series, and her newest, Marco and the Red Granny. She’s been a professional writer for ten years, and is a wonderful contributor to the realm of aspiring authors. It’s an honor to have her on the show, and I know her advice will be greatly beneficial to you.

Marco and the Red Granny Ebook Giveaway!

As a thanks to Mur coming on the show, I am doing an ebook giveaway of her novella, Marco and the Red Granny. I will be giving away two copies to random commentors below. To be eligible for the giveaway, simply comment with the name of someone you look up to as a professional and why. This doesn’t have to be a very long reason why, just who and why.

Instead of having a deadline, I will give one book away after five comments and another after ten. Those who don’t win for the first, will still be eligible for the second. If I get a lot of comments, I may add a third copy to the giveaway.

Bookmarks to Publishing is my new blog covering all the topics one needs to know to being a published author. Each topic will be a short post with interview questions related to the topic for professionals that have shown excellence in that area. Each post will have questions for reflection for you to comment and discuss how we can sharpen each other in each area. The first post will be “Professional Perspective.” Stay tuned.
